Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

How should I prepare for a session?

Come as you are. There is no special preparation required.

We recommend arriving comfortably hydrated and avoiding a large meal immediately before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing when appropriate for your scheduled experience.

Before your session begins, there will be time to discuss how you're feeling, what you're noticing in your body, and anything you would like your practitioner to be aware of.

You do not need to know which modality you need or arrive with a specific goal. The DAVI Method™ begins by listening.

What should I expect during a DAVI session?

Every DAVI experience is individualized.

Your session may begin with conversation, observation, movement or body awareness before transitioning into hands-on care. Depending on what you and your body are presenting, your practitioner may integrate different therapeutic modalities throughout the experience.

Some individuals leave feeling deeply relaxed or more spacious and comfortable in their body. Others notice changes in movement, body awareness or tension that continue to unfold after the session.

There is no expectation that every person will have the same response.

How often should I receive care?

Frequency depends on your individual needs, goals, response to care, and what you are currently navigating.

Some individuals incorporate DAVI into their ongoing wellness routine every 4–6 weeks. Others may benefit from more consistent sessions for a period of time when working with persistent tension, discomfort, movement limitations or periods of increased stress.

Your practitioner can help you determine an appropriate rhythm of care based on how your body responds.

Why incorporate DAVI into my wellness care?

The DAVI Method™ offers an individualized approach to therapeutic bodywork, nervous system support and somatic awareness. Depending on the person and the experience selected, care may support:

  • Greater relaxation and nervous system settling

  • Reduced perception of muscular tension and discomfort

  • Greater ease and awareness in movement

  • Increased body awareness and mind-body connection

  • Rest and recovery during periods of stress

  • Development of practical self-regulation and resilience tools

DAVI is intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical, mental health or rehabilitative care.

How is breath incorporated into DAVI experiences?

Breath is one of the ways we can observe and connect with the body's present state.

Guided breathing practices may be incorporated to encourage relaxation, present-moment awareness and greater recognition of how breathing patterns change in response to tension, movement, stress and emotion.

Breath practices may also provide individuals with simple tools they can return to outside of the treatment room.

Participation is always invitational and adapted to the individual's comfort.

What is the Mineral BioMat?

The Mineral BioMat is an optional comfort feature that may be incorporated into selected DAVI experiences.

It provides gentle far-infrared warmth through a mat containing mineral components, creating a warm and supportive surface during the session.

Within DAVI, the BioMat is primarily used to enhance comfort, relaxation and muscular ease while resting on the treatment table.

It is not used as a substitute for medical treatment, and heat-based therapies may not be appropriate for everyone. Please let your practitioner know about relevant health concerns, heat sensitivity or implanted medical devices before use.
